Ok - I will kick off with some Coventry and Warwickshire initiatives.
We were early to set up an "access to finance group" a year ago - detailed at www.financeaccess.co.uk and this group is working hard to make money available through either bank funding or angel investment or other sources.
JLR are also working on getting extra funding to their suppliers - this article details that : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/transport/9046653/JLR-tells-banks-about-future-plans-to-help-UK-suppliers-get-loans.html
Raza - good question. As a form of business finance, development finance should be in there but is often overlooked, probably because of the association between speculative development and the pre-2008 property price bubble.
Yet construction is one of the sectors to come off worst from the credit crunch.
I'm not aware of any research into the link between construction performance this year (a major factor in the slown of 2011-2012) and changes in credit conditions for developers.
Anybody aware of this or have experience from the coalface - would be interested to know!
