LEP Network Workshop on Planning
National
Location: London
Date: 22/02/12
Hold the date! The LEP Network will hold a half-day workshop on local economic development and the planning system
The workshop will cover the various ways in which LEPs can positively influence local economic development through engaging with the planning system by hearing from LEP 'pathfinders', sector experts and senior figures from Whitehall. It will connect key figures in government on planning reform and LEP functions to LEPs themselves.
The workshop also takes up a recommendation from the Network’s inaugural event: to work towards a position paper on LEP roles around planning that LEPs can choose to sign as part of a common submission to government.
