Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership Supports BMG’s Business Success In Berkshire 2012 Show

Thames Valley Berkshire LEP is sponsoring Berkshire Media Group’s upcoming business show, which offers businesses in the region the opportunity to build and extend their professional networks

The Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership today (16th of August) announced its sponsorship of Berkshire Media Group’s (BMG) upcoming show, Business Success in Berkshire 2012. TVB LEP will be on hand to talk to local businesses and is also scheduled to lead three sessions on keys issues affecting businesses in Berkshire.

Business Success in Berkshire 2012 will be taking place on 25th September from 8am to 4.30pm at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading. TVB LEP will be leading sessions on Access to Finance, Broadband and Exports in the Berkshire area; discussing the opportunities and challenges for businesses. UKTI Export Advisers, Finance advisers, and Superfast Broadband project leaders will be joining the TVB LEP team and will be offering private consultations and advice on various business issues in the seminar rooms.

Steve Lamb, Chairman of TVB LEP, comments:

"Berkshire is really making its mark and is recognised as a world class business hub in the UK. We boast a wealth of professionalism, vitality and opportunity and BMG’s events are great in helping to bring together all of the county’s key players – large and small. We believe success breeds success and hope the GB Olympic success has inspired you. We are therefore delighted to be able to sponsor Business Success In Berkshire 2012. This event enables us to collaborate with the business community, learning from each other and working together to see Berkshire thrive even more.”

This will be BMG’s second business show this year and follows on from its “Collaborating for Growth” event that took place in April. With 510 visitors, 85 exhibitors, 22 keynote and guest speakers and a full programme of workshops throughout the day, BMG’s last event was well received and identified a strong demand for more events of this nature to take place in the region.

BMG Managing director, Amanda Gee, explains:

“The feedback we received from our first event was extremely positive and we achieved exactly what we set out to do: collaborate and bring businesses together under one roof. Business Success In 2012 will bring professionals face-to-face once again and offer opportunities for individuals to learn and grow in their industry. We are delighted that TVB LEP will be sponsoring our next event and are certain that attendees will gain real business value from hearing experiences and advice from such a prominent member of the community.”

Amanda Gee has since joined the TVB LEP as the SME champion.  September’s event is expected to draw a mixture of small business owners, entrepreneurs, decision makers and business managers and will be focused on issues of growth and development. The agenda will also focus on identifying opportunities for companies in all sectors to satisfy the continually changing needs of the Berkshire business community. Attendees will be given the chance to build up their professional network, gain some invaluable advice whilst learning from the successful experiences of influential speakers who are leaders in their field. Workshops and networking opportunities will also take place throughout the day.
