Odgers Berndtson invites LEP Chairs to participate in new research into LEP governance

Odgers Berndtson invites LEP Chairs to participate in upcoming study of LEP Boards

LEPs have every reason to be proud of what they have achieved in such a short space of time and much credit should be given to the Boards in making the Government’s vision a reality.

As all LEPs are now firmly established in their geographical areas, now is a good time to reflect. There have been some lessons learned along the way and, ahead of the LEP Network Chairs annual dinner and Summit in September this year, Odgers Berndtson is going to conduct a national research piece on the experience of Chairs across the country. Odgers Berndtson have extensive experience of appointing to and working with Boards across the public and private sector divide and have worked with a number of LEP Chairs over the last 18 months.

Over the coming weeks Odgers Berndtson will be contacting each LEP Chair and inviting them to have a telephone session to talk around a number of key areas. This is an opportunity to share information, successes and indeed the challenges faced as Chair. The session will touch upon a number of pertinent areas including board makeup and size, the remuneration of Chairs, experiences around the integration of public and private colleagues on the board, and good governance. The sessions will last no longer than 20 minutes and we would greatly appreciate your time in contributing to the research piece –  the more of you we speak to, the stronger a picture we can garner about the national landscape, regional trends and the real challenges LEPs face. The research piece will be launched at the Chairs dinner and summit in September.

If you wish to make contact with Odgers Berndtson to book in for a session, Rebecca Royle will be happy to receive a call from you and can be contacted as follows:
