Gloucestershire LEP launches event to help firms Export for Growth

Businesses can learn more about export at an event led by Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership

Gloucestershire LEP, driven by GFirst, is hosting the Exporting for Growth event with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to help companies find out how to start exporting or expand their export options.

The initiative has been launched by the LEP’s Business Membership Group, which brings together more than 50 business membership organisations, in order to encourage growth.

The group has already launched an export survey amongst Gloucestershire businesses to find potential exporters.

Chair of the Business Membership Group Terry Morgan said:

“Export is vital for firms to flourish in times of austerity. As an experienced exporter myself I know just how beneficial it can be for your business and for the wider economy.

“Our export survey identified a great need for advice for our companies, which is why the LEP and UKTI have come together to put on this event. We will have a range of speakers who will give companies advice on how they can export and what markets could be most beneficial to them.”

Local exporters will also be on hand to share their experience and offer advice.

Exporting for Growth will be held at Lloyds Banks in Barnwood on Tuesday, June 26 from 9am until 1pm.
