Ernst and Young director joins Black Country LEP board
The advice and support on offer to Black Country firms to help them grow their business has been boosted following a new appointment to the Local Enterprise Partnership
The Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership has announced that Paul Brown, director at world leading professional service firm Ernst and Young, has joined its ranks.
Mr Brown is the fifth and final new appointment to the LEP this year and will work with other board members from the private and public sector to help remove barriers to business growth in the region.
The director for government services at Ernst and Young, who supports public and private sector organisations to understand their business planning and growth strategies, will take the lead role for business advice and support.
Paul Brown, private sector lead for the LEP on business support, said:
“I am pleased to take up this new role and look forward to supporting and contributing to the ongoing work of the Black Country LEP. I am absolutely committed to working to help create jobs and growth for the region’s economy.”
Stewart Towe, chair of the Black Country LEP, said:
“The recent recruitments have added great knowledge and expertise to the board which we believe will help us continue our work to support local business. We are delighted to have Paul on board and look forward to working with him in the coming months and years.”
Mr Brown’s appointment follows quickly on from the LEP’s recent announcement that other leading lights of their fields,Vicki Wilkes, Simon Eastwood, Ninder Johal and Dr Chris Handy have also joined the board.
