This event will be held on 16 February at the SmartLIFE Centre, Cambridge from 16:00-19:00. It forms part of a national debate that the LGA is convening on renewing the ambition for local economic development and growth. You can follow the debate on the LGA website.

High profile, local players from business, academia and local government will stimulate the conversation, and participants will have a chance to discuss:

  • What roles can councils play in helping businesses commercialise innovation and capitalise on local jobs growth?
  • What lessons are drawn from past successes of companies and universities commercialising innovation?
  • How are local authorities responding to these challenges in the new economic landscape, including Local Enterprise Partnerships?

To book your place, please register on the East of England LGA website or contact Charlotte Bendall.
