Britain faces major choices about how it is going to power itself whilst moving to secure, low carbon energy.
Using DECC’s 2050 Calculator, the Chief Scientist David Mackay and environmental media commenter Mark Lynas will be hosting a series of public discussions across the country addressing these choices.
‘The British Energy Challenge’ will take place in Nottingham on 17 May, Hay Festival 30 May, Sheffield 20 June, Leeds 28 June, Manchester 6 September, Newcastle 20 September and more cities to be confirmed.
In addition to the discussion some events will have a dynamic exhibition about the ‘Energy Story’– generation and demand through current and future innovation.
