London Chamber of Commerce and Industry launches report on Enterprise Zones

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a launch event for their new report on enterprise zones this morning, the 12th of July 2012

The report entitled "Enterprise Zones: only one piece of the economic regeneration puzzle" was pubicly launched at the London Chamber this morning, featuring addresses from Stephen Hammond MP, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government; Clive Dutton, Executive Director for Regeneration and Inward Investment at the London Borough of Newham; Sunny Crouch, Former Director of Marketing and Inward Investment at the London Docklands Development Corporation; and Colin Stanbridge, LCCI Chief Executive.

Each speaker also held a Q&A session, all of which received much engagement and held a very interesting debate concerning the future of enterprise zones and the problems they face. The question of whether or not to have a national strategy or institution for enterprise zones took centre stage in almost each session, with each speaker contributing to the topic.

The report can be found here, and is also featured as a key document on our Enterprise Zone Policy Information page.
